What is MCS?

MCS is a mark of quality. Membership of MCS demonstrates adherence to these recognised industry standards; highlighting quality, competency and compliance. We help installers by providing consultancy and management systems to achieve certification by an approved UKAS-accredited body. Let us take the strain out of all of your documentation process. Compliant as a business is certified to UKAS accredited ISO 9001, 14001, 22301, 27001 and 45001. Our Director Mark is also BSI Lead Auditor trained.

Quality of Work

Verifying and examining the work A Certification Body will evaluate your business to make sure that you install the renewable technology in accordance with the MCS guidelines. They will evaluate your business in terms of business procedures and visit a designated installation location for an inspection.

Customer Care

Applying to either the Home Insulation & Energy Systems Quality Assured Contractors Scheme or the Renewable Energy Consumer Code (RECC) is the initial step in becoming an MCS certified contractor (HIES). This demonstrates to consumers that a high standard aligned with TSI is applicable.

Continuous Improvement

Demonstrating the effectiveness of a Quality Management System (QMS) is a requirement for MCS certification. The evaluating Certification Body will check to see if your business has implemented documented processes and procedures to address the Standard criteria.

Competency

Your business will need to provide evidence of how you employ qualified, competent, and experienced people to carry out each task necessary to satisfy and uphold the standards of the scheme in order to pursue MCS certification.

By obtaining MCS Certification, you can show your clients that you have met and adhered to the strict guidelines set out by the Microgeneration Certification System.
